Installation

Installation Instructions

Step 1

Match the Seams

If you are using Wallpaper, match the wallpaper seams from the front as closely as possible and stick them together with clear tape as shown. You'll remove this tape before beginning to cut.

You can skip to Step 3 if you have a material large enough to cover the entire Canvas Paper area, such as a large sheet of fabric or large graphic.

Step 2

Secure the Back

This step is only necessary if you're using a material smaller than the area of the Canvas Paper you're using.

Now you'll flip your material over, ensuring that the seams remain matched up. Tape the backside of the wallpaper seams together using strips of clear tape.

Step 3

Prepare the Insert-a-Blind Canvas Paper

Working from the back of the paper, peel off about 6 inches of the Canvas Paper, removing the white protective cover. Make a hard crease with the protective paper, bending backward for better control of the film as you pull back from underneath.

Step 4

Apply the Canvas Paper

Press along the top of your material for a uniform application. Initial placement is key to achieving a straight and consistent installation. Pressing about 1/2 inch from the top onto a working surface will stabilize the wallpaper as you work. The top strip is cut away as waste.

As you slowly peel away the protective sheet from underneath, press out any air bubbles between your material and the Canvas Paper using the included plastic smoothing tool. The Canvas Paper can be easily lifted and adjusted if needed.

Step 5

Cut Out the Inserts

After the Canvas Paper is fully applied, number the sections from the top down, starting the second cut (Strip #1). For the sake of uniformity, the top and bottom cuts will be discarded as waste as they are usually uneven.

Turn the paper over and remove the seam tape from the front. Turn your material face down again.

Use a pair of sharp scissors or a utility cutting knife to cut along the preset lines. Be sure to protect your work surface with something if you are using a utility knife.

Step 6

Place the Inserts into your Blinds

Slide the cut inserts into the patented louver channels. Align the product in the Insert-a-Blind and trim the ends after centering it as needed.

Don't worry if you slightly miss the cut lines; imperfections will disappear when the insert is placed in the channel louvers.

You don't have to be perfect to achieve perfect looking results.

And just like that, you've created a custom design for your Insert-a-Blind!
